The good news is that today’s heating and cooling systems are more efficient than ever and replacing an old furnace or air conditioning system with a more energy-efficient system could pay for itself over time with reduced fuel costs.

What Makes Us Your Best Choice?

couple staying warm by the fireHeat Pumps

If you install or pair a heat pump with a high-efficiency furnace, you might be surprised at how much mileage and efficiency you’ll get from a heat pump during all seasons. An air source heat pump runs on electricity and uses the air to transfer warm air to cool air or visa versa. In 2023, the Inflation Reduction Act created tax rebates to help homeowners purchase new, more energy-efficient HVAC systems like Heat Pumps and more. Our manufacturers also offer rebates on new equipment installations.  Call your local office today to find out more!

Dual Fuel Systems

A dual-fuel heating system, also called a hybrid heating system, combines two different heating sources to heat your home efficiently. The primary component of a dual fuel system is a heat pump, which extracts heat from the outdoor air and transfers it indoors to heat your home. In the summer, it reverses the process by removing heat from your home and releasing it outside, effectively providing heating and cooling.

However, heat pumps become less efficient when temperatures fall below 32 degrees. This is where a secondary heating source, typically a gas, oil, or propane furnace, takes over. The dual fuel system automatically switches to the secondary heat source or your original heat source.

Ductless Mini-Splits

Ductless mini-split systems have numerous potential applications for your home, room additions, basements, or small apartments where extending or installing ductwork is not feasible.

Since mini splits have no ducts, they avoid the energy losses associated with ductwork or central forced air systems. Duct losses can account for more than 30% of energy consumption. Mini-splits can be suspended from a ceiling, mounted flush into a drop ceiling, or hung on a wall.

Furnaces

Furnaces are the most common heating system here in New York, where the temperatures often dip below freezing. They use natural gas, liquid propane, or fuel oil to heat your home. If your furnace is 15 years old or older, you may be surprised at how much money you will save with a new, high-efficiency furnace. Furnaces can also be paired with an air conditioner or heat pump to cool your home in the summer, also called a dual fuel system.

Boilers

Boilers heat water transferred to radiators, baseboard heaters, or radiant floor systems throughout the home, providing heat circulation. Replacing an old, inefficient boiler with a new, high-efficiency boiler can reduce energy costs. If your system is more than 15 years old, you might be surprised at the savings.

Central Air Conditioning

Central air conditioning is the traditional system that most people are familiar with. The condenser is located outside your home and is the central location where the air is cooled and then distributed by one or more fans and ductwork to cool your home. It is a separate unit that is independent of your furnace. We install residential and commercial central air conditioning for hundreds of homes, farms, and businesses annually

Ductless Solutions

Ductless mini split-systems have numerous potential applications for your home, room additions, basements, or small apartments, where extending or installing ductwork is not feasible.

Since mini splits have no ducts, they avoid the energy losses associated with ductwork or central forced air systems. Duct losses can account for more than 30% of energy consumption. Mini-splits can be suspended from a ceiling, mounted flush into a drop ceiling, or hung on a wall. They can be single-zone or multi-zone, and controls can be wall-mounted and wired or wireless, handheld, or managed through a smartphone app, depending on your chosen system.

Heat Pumps

Heat pump technology can also cool your home. If your air conditioner is more than 12 years old, or you’re seeing higher energy bills, then replacing your AC with a heat pump may be a good idea. Our HVAC team can determine if replacing your current system with a heat pump is right for you.

Backup Home Generators

We carry the best brands in every category, and that includes the number one brand of home backup Generators… Generac.  Having one means you can continue to work and live normally after a power outage. Whether you rely on critical medical equipment like a CPAP machine, chair lift, power wheelchair, or ventilator or work at home, you’ll be prepared with a Generac home backup generator. We can also service and maintain your generator.

Hot Water Heaters

Whether you need to replace an existing water heater or buy a new one, we can install, service, and maintain your electric, gas, or tankless water heater. We carry Bradford White water heaters, a brand known for outstanding performance and reliability. If your water heater is over 10 years old, it can cost you more in energy, and when it fails, it can leak, causing damage to your home. And, if you bought your home with an existing water heater, it may not keep up with your family’s needs. Call your local office today for a free in-home estimate on a new water heater from E and V Energy.
