What Makes Us Your Best Choice?

couple staying warm by the fireHeat Pumps

Pairing a heat pump with a high-efficiency furnace can deliver surprising mileage and efficiency during all seasons. An air source heat pump runs on electricity and uses air to transfer warmth or coolness as needed. In 2023, the Inflation Reduction Act created tax rebates to help homeowners purchase more energy-efficient HVAC systems like heat pumps. Our manufacturers also offer rebates on new equipment installations. Call your local office today to learn more!

Dual Fuel Systems

A dual-fuel heating system, also called a hybrid heating system, combines two different heating sources to efficiently heat your home. The primary component, a heat pump, extracts heat from outdoor air and transfers it indoors. In the summer, it reverses the process, providing both heating and cooling.

When temperatures fall below 32 degrees, the heat pump becomes less efficient. At that point, the secondary heating source, typically a gas, oil, or propane furnace, takes over. The system automatically switches between the primary and secondary heat sources based on temperature.

Ductless Mini-Splits

Ductless mini-split systems have numerous applications for homes, room additions, basements, or small apartments where extending or installing ductwork isn’t feasible.

Since mini splits don’t require ducts, they avoid the energy losses that ductwork and central forced air systems create. Duct losses can account for more than 30% of energy consumption in traditional systems. Mini-splits can be suspended from the ceiling, mounted flush into a drop ceiling, or hung on a wall.

Furnaces

Furnaces are the most common heating system in New York, where winter temperatures often dip below freezing. They use natural gas, liquid propane, or fuel oil to heat your home. If your furnace is 15 years old or older, upgrading to a high-efficiency model can significantly reduce energy costs. Furnaces can also pair with an air conditioner or heat pump for dual fuel systems that keep your home comfortable year-round.

Boilers

Boilers heat water, which circulates through radiators, baseboard heaters, or radiant floor systems, warming the home. Replacing an old boiler with a high-efficiency model can reduce energy costs. If your boiler is over 15 years old, upgrading could lead to significant savings.

Central Air Conditioning

Central air conditioning is the traditional system that most people are familiar with. The condenser is located outside your home and is the central location where the air is cooled and then distributed by one or more fans and ductwork to cool your home. It is a separate unit that is independent of your furnace. We install residential and commercial central air conditioning for hundreds of homes, farms, and businesses annually

Ductless Solutions

Ductless mini split-systems have numerous potential applications for your home, room additions, basements, or small apartments, where extending or installing ductwork is not feasible.

Since mini splits have no ducts, they avoid the energy losses associated with ductwork or central forced air systems. Duct losses can account for more than 30% of energy consumption. Mini-splits can be suspended from a ceiling, mounted flush into a drop ceiling, or hung on a wall. They can be single-zone or multi-zone, and controls can be wall-mounted and wired or wireless, handheld, or managed through a smartphone app, depending on your chosen system.

Heat Pumps

Heat pump technology can also cool your home. If your air conditioner is more than 12 years old, or you’re seeing higher energy bills, then replacing your AC with a heat pump may be a good idea. Our HVAC team can determine if replacing your current system with a heat pump is right for you.

Backup Home Generators

We carry the best brands in every category, and that includes the number one brand of home backup Generators… Generac.  Having one means you can continue to work and live normally after a power outage. Whether you rely on critical medical equipment like a CPAP machine, chair lift, power wheelchair, or ventilator or work at home, you’ll be prepared with a Generac home backup generator. We can also service and maintain your generator.

Hot Water Heaters

Whether you need to replace an existing water heater or buy a new one, we can install, service, and maintain your electric, gas, or tankless water heater. We carry Bradford White water heaters, a brand known for outstanding performance and reliability. If your water heater is over 10 years old, it can cost you more in energy, and when it fails, it can leak, causing damage to your home. And, if you bought your home with an existing water heater, it may not keep up with your family’s needs. Call your local office today for a free in-home estimate on a new water heater from E and V Energy.
