DeKalb Junction is the small hamlet located within the town of DeKalb, located in beautiful St. Lawrence County in Northern New York. It is just over 8 miles from Canton, home of the State University of New York’s Canton Technical College. North Country residents have a unique opportunity to see young musical talent at the county’s prestigious music school, SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music. The area is full of other fine educational institutions including Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry Ranger’s School near the Adirondack Park Hamlet of Wanakena.

St. Lawrence county is named after the St. Lawrence River, which is the third largest river in North America. The river attracts boaters, fisherman and campers every summer. It is a beautiful place to visit and many summer residents have camps along the river in the Thousand Islands area and in Alexandra Bay.
